Customer service is branding

Don’t underestimate the importance of your speech, especially when you are in a position where you talk to customers directly. Yes, you will be repeating things you said. You will repeat processes, and you will repeat answers to make sure the customer fully understands. For you, it’s also good training to sharpen your communication. Repetition is your partner.

Nobody has time, we all have the same 24 hours a day

Today I was talking to one of my best friends. Although we have some different angles on things we have a lot of common ground we agree on. Principles of living an interesting, having constantly interesting conversation, not putting materialistic into the foreground and enjoying life.

After 9 months of me being abroad for 9 months and only having a Skype call during that time we had the chance to meet today in person and basically walk an hour and a half and talk. Catching up about what happened in life, in personal and professional regards. We have a weird relation. Although it’s a friendship it’s not your typical friendship. We can have no contact at all with each other for months. If we then meet each other, it feels we never really never spoke for a long time.

If You’re Not Extraordinary At Anything, Always Be Exceptionally Nice

I just welcomed two Colombian travelers who had recently graduated from university and are now on their reward tour in Europe.

While I was talking to them on the way to their temporary home, my place in Berlin, I was wondering how easy it is to be outstanding in one specific regard: being nice. I was welcoming them with hugs, introduced them to the city in my own way and had a great exchange.

At my home, I offered them something to drink, a tea, some snack, prepared their bed (they’re using my room while I’ll be taking the couch) and let them have a nap. After the siesta, I helped them plan the rest of the day and let them go. That was nice because they literally told me, and I was happy they received it like that.
