39: Resilience

Nothing stops you. Nobody is able to compete with you. You are resilient. As a matter of fact, many people celebrate comfort, long for the easy way. Yes, they work their 168 hours a month, or 200. But after, they literally stop.

These powerful illustrations reminded me that you want to keep moving. Comfort is by far your worst enemy. Relaxing is fine. Taking time off super necessary, and getting your breaks and siesta crucial. No doubt about that.

However, you want to continue the marathon. Your life depends on it. Really. If you can’t pull the sword out of the stone, nobody else can. You’re the true king or queen of your life. Without a crown though. But that’s not your matter of concern.

You’re robust, indestructible, durable and irrepressible. Nothing can impress you. You impress everyone because you stay. You stick. Like a brick of a solid bricks-and-mortar.

You’v been born to be the dominance. You dominate because every beat you receive follows a defeat you give.

The take-away from today: While the language maybe martial and “man-like”, it’s the perfect analogy of how you (woman and man) want to see yourself and act upon. Just because you’re resilient like the stone holding King Arthur’s Excalibur sword, doesn’t mean that your heart is out of stone. Your heart is actually soft because “resilience” means to be durable and strong but also elastic and flexible. Resilience comprises these two seemingly contrary traits in one word. It is one of the key features you want to equip yourself with.

This was episode 39 of the #weekdaykickoff 🌊. Every Monday-Friday morning. Colombian time. Until episode 5 I also audio-recorded on Anchor, you can find me there as “Alexander Kluge”.
